This Sunday, November 22, 2020, the heavyweights of the music industry gathered in Los Angeles for the American Music Awards ceremony, one of the most important ceremonies in the United States along with the Grammy Awards and the Billboard Music Awards.
Among the winners of the 2020 edition were Dan+Shay, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift and The Weeknd, each taking home three awards. With these new awards, Taylor Swift is now holding 32 American Music Awards. Having already claimed the record for the most awards before this year’ s ceremony, she is now even further ahead of her rivals and is leaving a lasting mark on the history of American music. For its part, the K-Pop boy band BTS is once again winning awards at American ceremonies and thus consolidating its international success.
