After the huge success of It, the remake of a movie based of the eponym Stephen King’s novel, we talked about the sequel’s preparation and, more importantly, about the possible appearance of James McAvoy and Bill Hader in the cast. Now the news became clearer and the casting grew.

As you may now know, the second movie, It – Chapter 2, will adapt the second half of Stephen King’s novel. We will follow the children, now all grown up, from the first movie. That’s why the cast had to be entirely remade so that all children could find their adult counterpart.

First of all, the news has been confirmed : James McAvoy will play the leader of the Losers’ Club, Bill, previously played by Jaeden Lieberher and Bill Hader will take the part of Richie, Bill’s best friend, played by Finn Wolfhard in the first movie. They joined Jessican Chastain who had already been announced as the new actress for Beverly, previously played by Sophia Lilis. The production also found the new faces for the remaining children. Jay Ryan will be playing Ben, previously played by Jeremy Ray Taylor. Andy Bean will also be in the cast as Stanley, played by Wyatt Oleff in the first movie and James Ransone will play Eddie, previously played by Jack Dylan Grazer.

Now that the adult versions of the Losers’ Club members have been found, the shooting will likely start soon. The first scenes, for that matter, will be filmed in summer of 2018. However we’ll have to remain patient in order to watch this sequel because it will not hit the big screen before September 2019.
