The fans of Roald Dahl’s work and more precisely of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” are sure to be pleased: in 2024, a gigantic chocolate factory in the style of an amusement park will open in the Netherlands. The brand Tony’s Chocolonely will set up its facility in Zaandam, not far from Amsterdam.

Were you dreaming about it? Tony’s Chocolonely is doing it! In 2024, the brand will open a giant chocolate factory, similar to that of Roald Dahl‘s novel “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”. Located in Zaandam, the facility will use the book as an inspiration to entertain both children and adults in a world filled with the gold of the foodies. Plenty of rides and roller coasters are being planned to provide a unique experience. On the agenda will be candy boats, glass elevators and, of course, an introduction to the cocoa industry.

Promoting fair trade

With the opening of this unique park, Tony’s Chocolonely is taking the opportunity to promote fair trade and the hard work of farmers. The company hopes to welcome thousands of visitors in its future premises to leverage the estimated 100 million euro cost of the park.
