The mystery is over! The actors who will play Harry, Ron, and Hermione in the Harry Potter series have just been revealed. Three unknown young actors will play the Hogwarts heroes. Dominic McLaughlin will play Harry Potter, Alastair Stout will play Ron Weasley, and Arabella Stanton will play Hermione Granger. They will have the tough task of succeeding Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson.
Following the announcement, Harry Potter series showrunner Francesca Gardiner and executive producer and director Mark Mylod said: “After an extraordinary search led by casting directors Lucy Bevan and Emily Brockmann, we are delighted to announce we have found our Harry, Hermione, and Ron. The talent of these three unique actors is wonderful to behold, and we cannot wait for the world to witness their magic together onscreen.” They also paid tribute to the tens of thousands of children who auditioned, proving that the Harry Potter universe remains as appealing as ever.
This new adaptation will remain faithful to J.K. Rowling‘s novels. Dominic McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton, and Alastair Stout will be joined by John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, Luke Thallon as Quirrell, and Paul Whitehouse as Argus Filch.
