La 28e édition des Screen Actors Guild Awards a livré son verdict ce dimanche 27 février 2022. Une cérémonie durant laquelle le succès de Squid Game à l’international a de nouveau été confirmé. La série coréenne repart avec 3 prix, ceux du meilleur acteur dans une série dramatique (Lee Jung-Jae), de la meilleure actrice dans une série dramatique (Jung Ho-Yeon) et des meilleures cascades.
Succession et Ted Lasso, en tête des nominations dans les catégories séries, repartent elles aussi avec des récompenses. La série Succession a été couronnée dans la catégorie meilleur casting dans une série dramatique tandis que Ted Lasso obtient des prix dans les catégories meilleur casting dans une comédie et meilleur acteur dans une comédie (Jason Sudeikis).
Du côté des catégories cinéma, les deux longs-métrages en tête des nominations (The Power of the Dog et House of Gucci) rentrent bredouille des Screen Actors Guild Awards 2022. Le syndicat des acteurs et actrices a préféré plébisciter CODA dans les catégories meilleur casting et meilleur acteur secondaire (Troy Kotsur), Will Smith pour sa prestation dans King Richard pour la catégorie meilleur acteur, Jessica Chastain dans la catégorie meilleur actrice pour son rôle dans The Eyes of Tammy Faye et Ariana Debose en tant que meilleure actrice secondaire pour son interprétation dans le remake de West Side Story.
