A l’occasion de la 27e édition des Critics Choice Awards, la Critics Choice Association, la plus importante organisation de critiques de cinéma et de séries aux Etats-Unis et au Canada, a remis ses prix pour récompenser ce qui se fait de mieux sur le petit et grand écran.
A ce petit jeu, c’est The Power of the Dog et Ted Lasso qui s’en sortent le mieux avec 4 awards chacun. Le film de Jane Campion repart notamment avec les prix du meilleur film et de la meilleure réalisation tandis que la série d’Appe TV+ fait quasiment un sans-faute dans les catégories pour les séries comiques, la seule lui échappant étant celle de la meilleure actrice qui revient à Jean Smart pour sa prestation dans Hacks.
Juste derrière, avec trois récompenses, suivent la série Succession, couronnée entre autres meilleure série dramatique, le film Belfast, qui est notamment récompensé pour son casting et le film Dune qui fait le plein dans les catégories techniques.
