A few days after Katy Keene, another series of the Archieverse is cancelled. Let’s take a look at the situation.

Two years after its launch, the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina series is about to be cancelled. Netflix decided so on Wednesday, July 9, 2020. The adaptation of the eponymous comics will conclude with its fourth part consisting of eight episodes. It is expected to be released by the end of 2020.

In a statement, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa said: “Working on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has been an incredible honor from Day One. The cast, beginning with Kiernan as everyone’s favorite teen witch, has been an absolute joy. I am beyond thankful to the crew, writers, editors, assistants, and everyone for pouring so much love into this dark dream of a show,” said developer, exec producer and showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. “I’m also grateful to our partners at Netflix, Warner Bros., Berlanti Television and Archie Comics for letting us tell the story we wanted to tell, the way we wanted to tell it. We can’t wait for everyone to see Part Four.”

Kiernan Shipka (Sabrina Spellman), Miranda Otto (Zelda Spellman), Lucy Davis (Hilda Spellman), Ross Lynch (Harvey Kinkle), Gavin Leatherwood (Nicholas Scratch), Chance Perdomo (Ambrose Spellman), Tati Gabrielle (Prudence Night) and Richard Coyle (Father Blackwood) are part of the cast of the series.

One more thing: a convention on the series will take place in Paris in 2021. Chance Perdormo and Auntie Gabrielle are already scheduled. (More information)
