While The Boys wrapped up on May 20 on Prime Video, fans of the series will have to wait a little longer before they can check out its prequel, Vought Rising. Expected to arrive on the streaming platform in 2027, the series starring Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash—both of whom appeared in The Boys—has unveiled its first trailer, confirming that action and bloodshed will once again be on the menu.
As a reminder, Vought Rising will take us back to the 1950s to explore the origins of Vought. The series, with Paul Grellong serving as showrunner, will follow the early exploits of Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) as well as the diabolical schemes of a Supe well-known to fans: Stormfront, then known as Clara Vought (Aya Cash).
The cast also includes Mason Dye (Stranger Things), Will Hochman (Blue Bloods), KiKi Layne (The Old Guard), Jorden Myrie (Sherwood), Nicolo Pasetti (Cuoro), Elizabeth Posey (Heels), Ricky Staffieri (The Bear), and Brian J. Smith (Sense8).
