Percy Jackson is set to make his big comeback on Disney+. In season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, the young demigod will face new threats, as revealed in the trailer just unveiled by the streaming platform.

In this new series of episodes, inspired by the second book in Rick Riordan‘s saga, Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell) embarks on a perilous odyssey across the Sea of Monsters, shortly after the attack on the walls of the Camp Half-Blood. His goal: to find his best friend Grover (Aryan Simhadri) and get his hands on the Golden Fleece, the only artifact capable of saving the Camp. Accompanied by Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries), Clarisse (Dior Goodjohn), and Tyson (Daniel Diemer), his cyclops half-brother whom he has just discovered, Percy must thwart the evil plans of Luke (Charlie Bushnell) and the Titan Cronos, who are determined to destroy Olympus.

The first two episodes of Season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians will be available on Disney+ on December 10, followed by a new episode every Wednesday. Fans can extend the adventure with the gods of Olympus by checking out an official podcast dedicated to behind-the-scenes footage. The podcast will be available on Disney+, YouTube, and major streaming platforms. Each podcast episode will be released alongside a new episode of the series.

And the good news doesn’t stop there! Season 3 is already filming in Vancouver. New cast members include Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie (Outer Range, Mayfair Witches) as Nico di Angelo and Bianca, the children of Hades; Dafne Keen (The Acolyte, His Dark Materials) as Artemis; and Saara Chaudry (The Mysterious Benedict Society) as Zoe Nightshade, Artemis’s lieutenant.

While you wait for this new epic, rewatch the first season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, now on Disney+.
