Lisa Joy (Westworld, The Peripheral) as Jury President Of Series Mania Festival’s International Competition

While the 2023 edition of Séries Mania will begin in two months, the organizers of the event took advantage of this symbolic date to unveil the name of the president of the jury of the international competition. Lisa Joy, known for Westworld and The Peripheral, will follow Ukrainian producer Julia Sinkevych.

Lisa Joy, writer, producer and director, said she is “thrilled to serve as Jury president of the 2023 Series Mania. The festival is an inspiring celebration of the great, diverse, and international stories being told in television. It’s also a community of some of the most exciting storytellers and new voices working today. I’m honored to be a part of it.”

For her part, SERIES MANIA Executive Director Laurence Herszberg pointed out that Lisa Joy‘s experience and passion “passion for creating complex and big canvas stories” makes her “make her the perfect choice to be leading our international jury. We look forward to welcoming her to Lille.”

The 2023 edition of Séries Mania will take place from March 17 to 24, 2023 in Lille (France). For this event, Lisa Joy will award, along with the other members of the jury, the Grand Prize for Best Series as well as the prizes for Best Actress, Best Actor and Best Script.
