Katherine McNamara could soon be back on The CW. The actress, who played Mia Smoak in Arrow, has been chosen to join the cast of the pilot episode of Walker: Independence, a spin-off of the Walker series.
Katherine McNamara will play Abby Walker, a wealthy Bostonian woman from the 1800s whose husband is murdered before her eyes while they are on a journey west. In her quest for revenge, Abby crosses paths with Hoyt Rawlins (Matt Barr), a charming outlaw. During their journey, the duo arrives in Independence, a town where the eclectic citizens are fleeing the demons of their past and trying to follow their dreams. But in this changing city nothing seems to be what it appears to be.
Katherine McNamara, best known for her role in Shadowhunters, will star alongside Philemon Chambers, Lawrence Kao (Shell), Greg Hovanessian (Another Life) and Justin Johnson Cortez (9-1-1: Lone Star) in Walker: Independence. The pilot episode was co-written by Seamus Fahey and Anna Fricke, who already worked on Walker, and directed by Larry Teng (Nancy Drew).
