Good news for fans of Jensen Ackles (Supernatural, The Boys) and Eric Dane (Grey’s Anatomy, Euphoria): Prime Video will be airing their new series, Countdown, over the summer. We take a look.

Prime Video’s new action series Countdown is just a few weeks away. The streaming platform announced that the show, starring Eric Dane and Jensen Ackles, will be available to subscribers on June 25, 2025, with the first three episodes airing. The remaining ten episodes will be released at the rate of one per week until September 3, 2025.

Created by Derek Haas (One Chicago, FBI: International), Countdown follows Mark Meachum (Jensen Ackles), an LAPD officer who is recruited to join a secret team of undercover agents from all branches of law enforcement after a suspicious murder in broad daylight. This team is led by Nathan Blythe (Eric Dane), a 22-year veteran special agent who has carefully selected all the members of this secret unit. Among his recruits is Amber Oliveras (Jessica Camacho), an experienced DEA agent accustomed to undercover operations.

The cast of Countdown is completed by the presence of Violett Beane (God Friended Me, Death and Other Details), Uli Latukefu (Young Rock, Last King of the Cross) and Elliot Knight (The Boys, Life Sentence).
