How To Date Billy Walsh: Prime Video unveils the release date of its new romcom

After making their mark on Netflix with their respective series, Sebastian Croft (Heartstopper), Charithra Chandran (Bridgerton) and Tanner Buchanan (Cobra Kai) are moving to Prime Video for How To Date Billy Walsh.

Premiering April 5, 2024, the new romantic comedy follows Amelia (Charithra Chandran) and Archie (Sebastian Croft), two teens who have been best friends since childhood. When Archie finally finds the courage to confess his feelings to Amelia, she falls in love with Billy Walsh (Tanner Buchanan), an American student who has just transferred to their school. Heartbroken, Archie does everything in his power to keep Amelia and Billy apart, but unwittingly ends up bringing them together, risking the loss of his best friend.

In a press release issued by Prime Video, Sebastian Croft made no secret of his excitement for Alex Sanjiv Pillai‘s film: “I’m thrilled that audiences will get to see How To Date Billy Walsh. The process of bringing this uniquely British rom-com to life has been an incredible journey, and I’m eager to see it bring the same level of joy into people’s homes that we experienced whilst making the movie.” For her part, Charithra Chandran says: “Playing Amelia has been an incredibly rewarding experience for me, and I couldn’t be happier for others to get to see how much fun we had making this funny, heart-warming film for Prime Video.”

In addition to Sebastian Croft, Charithra Chandran and Tanner Buchanan, the cast of How To Date Billy Walsh will include Kunal Nayyar (The Big Bang Theory), Nick Frost (Paul), Guz Khan (Army of Thieves), Lucy Punch (Motherland) and Daisy Jelley (London Kills).
