The Bridgerton family will be reduced in number during Season 3 of Bridgerton. In an interview with ScreenRant at the Sundance Film Festival, Phoebe Dynevor, who plays Daphne, revealed that she will not be appearing in the upcoming episodes on Netflix and that she is looking forward to the new chapter of Bridgerton as a viewer.
She previously mentioned this departure to Variety, saying that she has “done what she (I) wanted to do with that character,” while adding that Daphne “had a great arc”. Does this mean that the adventure between Phoebe Dynevor and Bridgerton is over? The actress said she remains open to the possibility of returning in the future.
Based on the books by Julia Quinn, the first season of Bridgerton follows the love story between Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon, the Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page). Season two focuses on Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) in his search for the perfect wife, while season three, which will air in the coming months, will focus on Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan).
