ABC has announced that it has renewed eight additional series for the 2020-2021 season. They will be joining Grey’s Anatomy, Station 19 and The Good Doctor who were already certain of their future before this announcement.

The series that have been given the green light for an additional season are American Housewife (season 5), Black-ish (season 7), The Conners (season 3), The Goldbergs (season 8), A Million Little Things (season 3), Mixed-ish (season 2), The Rookie (season 3) and Stumptown (season 2). Two new series will also be added to these renewed series: Big Sky, a series by David E. Kelley and the sitcom Call Your Mother starring Kyra Sedgwick.

ABC confirmed 5 cancelled shows

Meanwhile, the American channel also announced the names of the series that had been cancelled. Bless This Mess, Emergence, Kids Say the Darndest Things, Schooled and Single Parents will not be renewed.

Though the decision was expected for Emergence, it is still a bit of a surprise for Bless This Mess and Schooled, which had better ratings than other comedies that were granted one more season.

Two series are still waiting for a decision regarding their future. We are talking about the two new series For Life and The Baker and The Beauty.
