Season 7 of Outlander, expected to premiere on Starz on June 16, is revealed in a two-minute trailer.
Once again, Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) will face many misadventures during the 16 episodes of this new season. Deaths, the burning of Fraser’s Ridge and the American Revolution will be among the events.
Starz says in a release that Season 7 will pick up as Jamie and young Ian (John Bell) rush to save Claire before she is tried and wrongly convicted for the murder of Malva Christie. But their mission is complicated by the onset of a geopolitical storm: the American Revolution has arrived.
The land the Frasers call home is changing – and they must change with it. To protect what they have built, the Frasers must face the dangers of the Revolutionary War. They learn that sometimes defending what you love means leaving it behind. As the conflict takes them out of North Carolina and into the heart of this fight for independence, Jamie, Claire, Brianna (Sophie Skelton) and Roger (Richard Rankin) are faced with difficult choices that could tear their family apart.
