After “Black Swan” and “Bad Moms”, Mila Kunis returns to the spotlight through the adaptation of one of the novels by writer Jessica Knoll, alias “Luckiest Girl Alive”. The young woman has just been chosen to play the lead role, Ani FaNelli, a New York editor, to whom everything seems to be smiling.
When the Truth Comes Out
But behind the appearances of the rich and trendy city dweller hides a bruised young woman. Contacted by a director, she is invited to relate an important incident that happened when she was a teenager at Bradley School. The truth seems to catch up with her in a life where her balance seems as fragile as a house of cards.
Directed by Mike Barker, to whom we already owe “Fargo” and “The Handmaid’s Tale”, “Luckiest Girl Alive” seems to have all the elements to please Netflix viewers.
