It’s a never-ending success. Gipi’s comic book, “Land of the Sons”, published in 2017, will find a second life through a movie called “Land of the Sons.” The announcement was made at the 49th Angoulême International Comics Festival. After winning the ‘Grand Prix de la Critique’, the ‘Grand Prix RTL de la BD’, the ‘Prix Ouest-France/ Quai des Bulles’ and finally the Prix ‘BD Utopiales’, the graphic novel will once again be in the spotlight.
The end of the world
Scheduled for release on May 25, “Land of the Sons” was directed by Claudio Cupellini. This one will remain faithful to the book and will offer a dive in a post-apocalyptic universe, where a mysterious plague has put an end to civilization. While humanity has almost disappeared from the face of the earth, a father and son struggle for survival.
