The adaptation of books into TV series has become quite common these days. One of the novels that will soon be adapted is “The Island of Doctor Moreau” written by H.G. Wells and published in 1896. A TV version that will delight science-fiction fans.

The Island of Doctor Moreau is above all a book, a classic work, written by H.G. Wells, published in 1896. Among its adaptations for the cinema, we remember the most recent one, released in 1996, with some actor named Marlon Brando in its credits. And then the news broke. The science-fiction label Gunpowder & Sky has announced that they are currently developing a TV series adaptation, which will be entitled “Moreau”.

A mad scientist

It is the story of Edward Prendick, the only survivor of a shipwreck, who is rescued by a ship heading to a tropical island. Among the crew, he meets Montgomery, assistant to Dr. Moreau, a scientist obsessed with vivisection and blood transfusion. As they talk, Edward becomes aware of the multiple experiments that the duo has been conducting on animals over the last few years. To bring this story to the screen, Zack Stentz, screenwriter on “X-Men: First Class”, will have the difficult task of writing the series. You will soon see the results in the comfort of your own living room!
