Golden Globes 2024 : Oppenheimer, Succession et The Bear parmi les gagnants

En tête des nominations, le film Barbie de Greta Gerwig n’a pas pesé face au long-métrage Oppenheimer, l’un des favoris dans la course aux Oscars, lors de la 81e édition des Golden Globes. Alors qu’Oppenheimer repart avec cinq prix, dont ceux du meilleur film dramatique, du meilleur acteur dans un film dramatique et du meilleur réalisateur, Barbie doit se contenter de deux Golden Globes, ceux de la meilleure chanson et de la meilleure performance au box-office. Un nombre de récompenses également obtenu par Poor Things qui a été récompensé du prix du meilleur film comique ou musical et de celui de la meilleure actrice dans un film comique ou musical (Emma Stone). À noter, aussi, la performance de Lily Gladstone qui, pour sa première nomination aux Golden Globes, est sacrée meilleure actrice dans un film dramatique pour sa prestation dans Killers of the Flower Moon.

Dans les catégories séries, Succession est la grande gagnante de la soirée avec quatre Golden Globes sur cinq possibles. La série de Jesse Armstrong repart ainsi avec les prix de la meilleure série dramatique, du meilleur acteur et de la meilleure actrice dans une série dramatique et du meilleur acteur dans un rôle secondaire. Seule la catégorie meilleure actrice dans un rôle secondaire échappe à Succession, les votants de la Hollywood Foreign Press Association ayant décidé de récompenser la prestation d’Elizabeth Debicki dans The Crown. De son côté, The Bear, la série portée par Jeremy Allen White, fait carton plein dans les catégories dédiées aux séries comiques et musicales (3 Golden Globes). Une performance également réalisée par la série Beef dans les catégories centrées sur les mini-séries, les anthologies ou les téléfilms.
