Carmen Arranz School of Arts of will soon reopen its doors! Indeed, the series Un paso adelante (One Step Forward), which was a great success in the early 2000s, is about to make its return on the small screen.
Broadcast in Spain on Antena 3, fans followed the daily life of Lola (Beatriz Luengo), Pedro (Pablo Puyol), Roberto (Miguel Ángel Muñoz), Ingrid (Silvia Marty) and Silvia (Monica Cruz), young aspiring artists who practiced dancing, singing and acting in the school of Carmen Arranz. Between pas-chassés and pointes, we also lived their dramas and their joys of young adults. Thanks to its success, Un paso adelante even gave birth to a group of musicians formed by the main characters.
Almost 20 years after the launch of the original series, a sequel called Upa Next will soon be broadcast on the AtresPlayer platform and will see the return of some of the old characters. Beatriz Luengo, Miguel Angel Munoz and Monica Cruz are already confirmed in the cast of this series of 9 episodes, which will begin shooting this summer.
As a reminder, the series Un paso adelante ended in 2005 after six seasons and this one did not have the right to a proper final due to a lack of audience. This sequel should allow us to have news of the old characters and answers to some questions left in suspense for fifteen years.
