A few weeks after unveiling the first images from Stuart Fails To Save the Universe, HBO Max is revealing more about its The Big Bang Theory spin-off with a first trailer.
Set to premiere on the streaming platform on July 23, 2026, the series centers on the comic book store owner seen throughout the cult sitcom, with Stuart (Kevin Sussman) embarking on an adventure that is completely beyond his control. After damaging a device designed by Sheldon and Leonard, he triggers a veritable Armageddon across the multiverse. To fix his mistakes and try to restore reality, he’ll be able to count on his girlfriend Denise (Lauren Lapkus), his geologist friend Bert (Brian Posehn), and Barry Kripke (John Ross Bowie), a quantum physicist as brilliant as he is unbearable.
As the series title suggests, and as this trailer confirms, nothing will go as planned. The official synopsis also promises that their journey will lead them to encounter alternate versions of iconic characters from The Big Bang Theory hailing from parallel universes. Now we just have to wait and see which familiar faces will make an appearance in Stuart Fails To Save the Universe. The answer this summer!
