Get ready to dive back into the world of Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) this summer! After announcing a four-star cast in recent weeks, Paramount+ and Showtime have just announced the premiere date for Dexter: Resurrection, the follow-up to Dexter: New Blood.

The first two episodes will premiere on Paramount+ on July 11, 2025, before airing on Showtime on July 13, 2025. The remaining episodes will be offered at the rate of one episode per week. Internationally, Dexter: Resurrection will be available on Paramount+ in over 10 countries, including Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia.

As the series title and the recently released teaser suggest, Dexter has survived the events of Dexter: New Blood and will pick up a few weeks after the serial killer was shot by his own son. Awakening from his coma, Dexter has only one obsession: to find Harrison (Jack Alcott), who has disappeared without a trace, and make amends. But it won’t be easy. “When Miami Metro’s Angel Batista (David Zayas) arrives with questions, Dexter realizes his past is catching up to him fast. As father and son navigate their darkness in the city that never sleeps, they soon find themselves deeper than they ever imagined—and that the only way out is together.”

In addition to the return of Michael C. Hall, David Zayas, James Remar and Jack Alcott, Dexter: Resurrection, which will once again be directed by Clyde Phillips, will welcome big names like Uma Thurman (Pulp Fiction), Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones), Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones), Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother), David Dastmalchian (Oppenheimer) and Eric Stonestreet (Modern Family).
