During DarkLight Con 4, Misha Collins talked about one of his first television parts: the role of Eric Bragg in the series Charmed. A role that should have been more important than what it was.

Let’s go back to 1999. Misha Collins begins his career as an actor and Charmed is not yet the phenomenon series that it will become over the years. Launched just one year before, the series carried by Alyssa Milano, Shannen Doherty and Holly Marie Combs has just begun its second season when Misha Collins is chosen to play the role of Eric Bragg. His character will only appear in the episode “They’re Everywhere” but it could have been different.

During the DarkLight Con 4 convention, dedicated to the Supernatural series, Misha Collins indeed confessed that he should have normally intervened as a recurring character during the second season of Charmed. Moreover, his character should have been the new boyfriend of Phoebe, the character played by Alyssa Milano, and a kissing scene had been filmed to begin this storyline. Ultimately, the scene was cut in the editing and the producers never called back Misha Collins. The actor said jokingly that after seeing his performance, they thought it was better not to bring him back for more episodes.

The actor who played Castiel in Supernatural added that a few years later, Alyssa Milano and himself found themselves playing together in the pilot project “Reinventing the Wheelers” in which they had to play siblings. The opportunity for the actor to see if she remembered him, to which the actress replied in the negative. Since then, Misha Collins and Alyssa Milano have become very close friends and she welcomed him in her podcast Sorry Not Sorry.
