If the fate of Manifest seemed sealed at the end of June, we learn from Deadline that the discussions would have restarted between NBC and Warner Bros TV for a fourth season. Netflix, which had not wanted to save the series from cancellation, would also be part of the game.
According to the American media, this turnaround results from two things. First, NBC has not managed to renew Good Girls for a fifth season. In addition, the American network decided not to go further in the development of Law & Order: For the Defense, a series that was to be broadcast on Thursday nights from this fall.
These two decisions have cleared the budget but also time slots on the American channel, which is why NBC would have started negotiations again. Netflix is taking part in the discussions because the success of Manifest on its platform is clear. For more than a month, the series has been in the top 10 in the United States.
If nothing is decided at the moment, Manifest creator Jeff Rake wanted to say on Twitter that if the series is saved it is thanks to the fans.
The cast of Manifest, which is also participating in the #SaveManifest campaign, includes Josh Dallas, Melissa Roxburgh, J.R. Ramirez, Luna Blaise, Jack Messina, Parveen Kaur, Athena Karkanis and Matt Long.
