Nearly two months after its release date, Disney+ has released the trailer for Hawkeye, its new Marvel series.
Set during the holiday season, Rhys Thomas‘ creation will follow former Avenger Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) as he has, according to the official synopsis, an apparently simple mission: to return to his family for Christmas. Can he do it? Perhaps with the help of Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld), a 22-year-old archrival with dreams of becoming a superhero. The two protagonists will be forced to work together when a familiar face from Barton’s past threatens to wreck more than just the Christmas spirit.
Also in the cast will be Vera Farmiga (Conjuring), Fra Fee (Cinderella), Tony Dalton (Better Call Saul), Zahn McClarnon (Westworld), Brian d’Arcy James (13 Reasons Why) and Alaqua Cox. Florence Pugh should also be part of the show and return to her role of Yelena Belova.
Hawkeye will begin airing on November 24, 2021 on Disney+. In total, this season will have 8 episodes.
