Netflix has reserved a nice surprise for Cobra Kai fans ahead of the release of season 4, scheduled for next December. The streaming giant has indeed confirmed the order of a fifth season.

This news will not surprise too much, the series being a real phenomenon since its arrival on Netflix. Cobra Kai will even be nominated for the Emmy Awards for Best Comedy this year.

Originally broadcast on YouTube Red, Cobra Kai features Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) more than thirty years after the events of the first Karate Kid movie. While Daniel LaRusso is a successful entrepreneur, Johnny Lawrence is adrift until he decides to reopen the Cobra Kai karate dojo. This rekindles the rivalry between the two men.
