The Bridgerton family isn’t planning to go away anytime soon. While season 2 of the hit series will soon begin production in London, Netflix has announced that it has ordered two more seasons of Bridgerton. As usual, the announcement was made by Lady Whistledown on the official Twitter account of the series.

In a statement, Shonda Rhimes, executive producer of the series, said: “From the first time I read Julia Quinn’s delicious Bridgerton series, I knew these were stories that would captivate a viewing audience. But the evolution of this adaptation would not be a success without the many significant contributions of the entire Shondaland team.” She adds: “This two-season pickup is a strong vote of confidence in our work, and I feel incredibly grateful to have partners as collaborative and creative as Netflix. Betsy and I are thrilled to have the opportunity to continue bringing the world of Bridgerton to a worldwide audience.”

If the logic is the same as for the first two seasons, seasons 3 and 4 should be an adaptation of the books An Offer from a Gentleman, focused on the characters of Benedict and Sophie, and Romancing Mister Bridgerton, about Colin and Penelope.
