Since its launch on Netflix in 2016, the Stranger Things series has been a phenomenal success around the world. As a result, many organizers are welcoming cast members to multi-fandom events or conventions dedicated entirely to the show created by the Duffer brothers. The latter category includes the new event created by Epic Events & Entertainment, an organization best known for its Vampire Diaries Universe conventions.
The Upside Down, as this new event is called, will take place on October 19 and 20, 2024 in Jackson, Georgia, a city that serves as the setting for several exterior shots of Stranger Things. This announcement is sure to please fans of the series, who will be able to fully immerse themselves in the show’s universe for a weekend.
Because good news never comes alone, Epic Events & Entertainment has also announced the first guest at The Upside Down convention. And it’s a very special guest, as Stranger Things fans will have the opportunity to meet Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven. The British actress, who will be in attendance on both days of the event, will be doing panels (included in the price of passes), photos ($140), autographs ($120), and a meet & greet. These activities, as well as tickets to The Upside Down convention (ranging from $150 to $600), will be available for purchase on the event’s official website beginning at 6:00 p.m. EST on January 26, 2024.
