John Williams, who created the music for Star Wars since “A New Hope” in 1977 and until “Solo : A Star Wars Story” this year, seems to want to end his work on this universe.

John Williams, who created the music for Star Wars since “A New Hope” in 1977 and until “Solo : A Star Wars Story” this year, seems to want to end his work on this universe.Having composed for Star Wars movies for more than 40 years now, John Williams announced that it was time for him to bid farewell to the franchise. Recently, he said on an interview : We know JJ Abrams is preparing one [Star Wars movie] now that I will hopefully do next year for him. I look forward it. It will round out a series of nine, that will be quite enough for me.”

According to some fans, this decision is due to the purchase of Star Wars by Disney. John Williams the suspicions up concerning Disney’s plan for Star Wars future, saying : “As you know, Disney has acquired the rights for LucasFilm and they will probably continue on through… decades.” Good or bad thing, John Williams doesn’t say but one thing is certain : Star Wars future will have to do without its regular composer.
