Released only this summer in bookstores, “Florida Man” has sparked the interest of Anonymous Content, which will produce Tom Cooper’s novel. Joel Edgerton will play the main character at the top of the cast, while also being the project’s executive producer.

July 2020: American writer Tom Cooper publishes his new novel, called “Florida Man“, a black comedy set in the 1980s, which follows Reed Crowe, a homeless man. The latter will then improvise himself as a speleologist and discover Emerald Island’s twists and turns.

September 2020: Anonymous Content announces the adaptation of “Florida Man” into a TV series just two months after its release. And to bring it to the small screen, Joel Edgerton was chosen as the main actor, but also as the project’s executive producer.

The man of the situation

This is not the first time Joel Edgerton has collaborated with Anonymous Content, as they have already partnered on the feature film The Unknown Man. The 46-year-old actor, who was discovered in Australia thanks to the series “Our Secret Lives“, released in 2001, adds a new title to his already extensive filmography.
