Stranger Things: Eddie and Chrissy as a couple? The cast answers

Warning, this article contains spoilers about Stranger Things season 4.

In Paris for the Stranger Fan Meet 6, several actors and actresses of Stranger Things were asked about a question that has been bothering fans of the show since the release of season 4: were Eddie and Chrissy a couple? And their answers should please those who said yes.

Grace Van Dien, the actress who played Chrissy in Stranger Things, was of course asked about it. And for her, the Eddie-Chrissy couple could have existed and worked well if they had had the opportunity. Joseph Quinn, who played Eddie Munson, says that it is implied that the two characters were a couple in Stranger Things. He adds that if the writers had said more, it could have spoiled the dynamic between the two characters. Back in June, in an interview for Netflix, Joseph Quinn had already said that the story between Chrissy and Eddie could have been different if Vecna hadn’t decided to take on the people of Hawkins: “It would be lovely if there was a world in which [they could] be a pretty uncouth couple at Hawkins High...”

For Mason Dye, who plays Jason, Chrissy’s official boyfriend in the show, his character is too full of himself to be in a relationship and therefore he thinks that Eddie and Chrissy formed a beautiful couple before she was killed. For Raphael Luce, who plays young Henry Creel, the story between Eddie and Chrissy could have given something if it had not known an unfortunate fate from the beginning of season 4.
