Nicholas Hoult, cast as one of the antagonists of Mission: Impossible 7, will not be able to take part in the next chapter of Ethan Hunt’s adventures. As a result of the halt in the shooting of Mission: Impossible 7 at the beginning of the year, Nicholas Hoult (X-Men, The Great) will have a scheduling conflict once production resumes since he has other projects in the pipeline for the end of the year.
In response to this situation, Paramount and Skydance decided to call on Esai Morales to play the villain of the seventh Mission: Impossible movie. Having already played in Ozark, From Dusk till Dawn: The Series and How to Get Away with Murder, Esai Morales recently portrayed Slade Wilson / Deathstroke in the Titans series.
Initially expected in theatres on July 23, 2021, Mission: Impossible 7 has been rescheduled to November 19, 2021 on account of the interruption resulting from the COVID-19 events.
