Pour sa 44e édition, les People’s Choice Awards délaissent CBS pour la chaîne américaine E!. Un changement qui s’accompagne également par d’une diminution drastique du nombre de catégories passant de 32 en 2017 à 16 en 2018 pour les séries télé.
En 2018, les nominations sont dominées par The Walking Dead nommée 8 fois suivie de Grey’s Anatomy (6 nominations) et The Big Bang Theory (5 nominations). Trois séries qui sont habituées à être couronnées durant la cérémonie de remise des prix qui se déroulera, cette année, le 11 novembre. Parmi les autres séries qui peuvent sortir du lot, nous pouvons citer Riverdale, 13 Reasons Why, The Good Doctor (4 nominations chacune) ou encore The Handmaid’s Tale. Pas de panique si votre acteur / actrice préféré(e) ou votre série fétiche n’est pas présente dans la liste : vous pouvez nominer d’autres acteurs et séries dans chacune des catégories.
A l’issue de cette première phase de votes, nous connaîtrons les noms des séries, acteurs et actrices qui seront en lice pour obtenir un People’s Choice Awards le 11 novembre prochain. Ils seront au nombre de cinq dans chaque catégorie. Les votes se clôturent le 14 septembre donc il ne vous restent plus que quelques jours pour soutenir vos stars et séries préférées.
