Les GLAAD Media Awards, la cérémonie qui a vocation à honorer la représentation LGBTQ dans les médias, a dévoilé les gagnants de 2021 à travers une édition animée par Niecy Nash.
Parmi les lauréats, nous pouvons citer Happiest Season et The Boys in the Band qui repartent avec les prix des meilleurs films. Côté série, Schitt’s Creek est de nouveau élue meilleure série comique tandis que Star Trek: Discovery est récompensée de l’award de la meilleure série dramatique.
Sam Smith, quant à lui, est honoré du prix du meilleur artiste musical alors que Chika est consacrée meilleure révélation. En ce qui concerne les jeux vidéos, les GLAAD Media Awards ont désigné deux gagnants : The Last of Us Part II et Tell Me Why.
Côté comic book, c’est la série Empyre de Marvel signée par Al Ewing, Dan Slott, Chip Zdarsky, Anthony Oliveira qui a obtenu le GLAAD Media Award 2021.
