At the end of season 2, Travelers‘ fans were really worried that the show wouldn’t be renewed. However those worries can be forgotten because a 3rd season has officially been announced.
The TV Show world is more and more harsh and it became hard for the shows to acquire contracts for new seasons. Howerver it would seem that Travelers aroused the public’s interest because a 3rd season has been recently ordered by Netflix. It’s Eric McCormack, the lead actor and producer of the show, who announced it on his Twitter with a picture of an article concerning the new season and the message : « IT’S OFFICIAL, MY FRIENDS ! ».

No air date has been announced yet but the actors are already shooting the new season and it’s very likely that the latter will be airing at the end of the year, just like the previous seasons. We assume that the 3rd season will have 13 episodes like it’s predecessor. However it’s possible that this new season will be really different from the 2 previous seasons because it’s now supervised by Netflix and not by Showcase like before.
Between Will & Grace return and his roles as lead actor, producer and, newly, director during this 3rd season of Travelers, Eric McCormack will have a lot on his plate.
