The Witcher: a date and a trailer for season 2

During the WitcherCon, a virtual event, organized in collaboration with CD Projekt, Netflix has revealed the release date of The Witcher season 2. The streaming giant also used the event to show a first trailer.

The eight new episodes of the series featuring Henry Cavill and Freya Allan in the lead roles will be available a week before Christmas, on December 17, 2021. A nice gift for all fans of the adaptation of the work of Andrzej Sapkowski.

The second season of The Witcher will follow Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill), who is convinced that Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) died at the Battle of Sodden, as he seeks to bring Princess Cirilla (Freya Allan) to the safest place he knows: Kaer Morhen. As kings, elves, humans and demons struggle to take control of the continent, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she has.

During WitcherCon, Netflix also revealed several videos to look back on some key elements of the second season. The streaming giant released the episode titles and logos, a glimpse of Kaer Morhen and a video about the past and future journey of Yennefer and Cirilla with their actors.
