The Santa Clauses: Tim Allen will reprise his role as Santa Claus on Disney+.

After playing Scott Calvin in The Santa Clause trilogy, Tim Allen has agreed to play the role again for Disney+ in a mini-series.

Co-written by Jack Burditt (30 Rock), Kevin Hench (Last Man Standing), Rick Messina (The Santa Clause) and Richard Baker (Last Man Standing), the series will follow Scott Calvin as he approaches his 65th birthday and realizes that he can’t be Santa forever.

According to the synopsis shared by Disney+, Scott Calvin is starting to lose a step in his Santa duties, and more importantly, he’s got a family who could benefit from a life in the normal world, especially his two kids who have grown up at the Pole. With a lot of elves, children, and family to please, Scott sets out to find a suitable replacement Santa while preparing his family for a new adventure in a life south of the pole.

Production on The Santa Clauses series will begin in March 2022. At the moment, Tim Allen is the only star from the original trilogy to have been announced for this sequel. Will Judge Reinhold, Wendy Crewson, Elizabeth Mitchell, Eric Lloyd and Liliana Mumy be back ? We will have an answer in the next few weeks!
