The history of the series The Republic of Sarah has been tumultuous until the end. Initially developed by CBS, before being abandoned by the American network, the series had finally been bought by The CW with a change of cast.

Presented as a summer series, The Republic of Sarah did not convince the network and ends after a single season of 13 episodes as confirmed by Jeffrey Paul King, its creator: “I’m sad to say the news is not good. The Republic of Sarah will come to an end on Monday (September 6th) with what will now be our Series Finale”. He added: “Thank you so much to everyone who watched and who let our little show into their lives. It means the world to us.”

The Republic of Sarah followed Sarah Cooper (Stella Baker), a school teacher who finds herself in charge of a brand new nation when her town declares independence to prevent its destruction by a mining company.

The cast included Izabella Alvarez (Westworld), Xander Berkeley (The Walking Dead), Nia Holloway (Hawaii 5-0), Hope Lauren (Awkward.), Megan Follows (Reign), Luke Mitchell (Blindspot), Landry Bender (Looking for Alaska), Ian Duff (New Amsterdam), Nicola Correia-Damude (Shadowhunters) and Forrest Goodluck (The Revenant).
