Riverdale fans will have to be patient. While the continuation of season 5 was initially scheduled to air starting Wednesday, July 7, 2021, The CW revealed that the series would only make its return one month later, on Wednesday, August 11, 2021.

A four-month break, which we hope will not affect the ratings of the series. This postponement could also have impacts on the date of airing of the season 6, already ordered by the American channel.

Along with this announcement, The CW has revealed its summer schedule. The second season of Stargirl will be offered from Tuesday, August 10, 2021 in duo, initially, with Superman & Lois. From August 24, it will serve as a lead-in to the last episodes of Supergirl.

This summer, the American network will also broadcast seasons 3 of Roswell, New Mexico and In the Dark, the first season of Wellington Paranormal, the spin-off of What We Do In The Shadows, and new seasons of Coroner, Dead Pixels and Burden of Truth. Air dates can be found below.
