The series The Better Sister, adapted from Alafair Burke‘s novel of the same name, will plunge viewers into the heart of an exciting family thriller this May, according to the trailer unveiled by Prime Video.
Produced by Olivia Milch (Ocean’s 8) and Regina Corrado (Sons of Anarchy), the series follows Chloe (Jessica Biel), a powerful media executive who lives an ideal life with her husband Adam (Corey Stoll), a renowned lawyer, and their son Ethan (Maxwell Acee Donovan). Meanwhile, her sister Nicky (Elizabeth Banks) struggles to make ends meet and stay clean. But when Adam is brutally murdered, the two women grow closer and must confront their turbulent family pasts in order to uncover the truth behind Adam’s murder. As the video unveiled by Prime Video suggests, every character at the center of the plot seems to have something to hide, and there should be plenty of twists and turns.
The eight episodes that make up The Better Sister series, which will be available on Prime Video on May 29, 2025, will feature a strong cast including Kim Dickens (Fear the Walking Dead), Lorraine Toussaint (The Equalizer), Gabriel Sloyer (Griselda) and Gloria Reuben (Mr. Robot).
