Succession and Ted Lasso, already leading the nominations for the 2022 Golden Globes and awarded at the same ceremony, are also doing well at the 2022 Screen Actors Guild Awards. The two multi-award-winning series have each been nominated five times by the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. This is a first for Succession.
Behind this duo, three series were nominated with 4 nominations each: The Morning Show, Mare of Easttown and Squid Game. Squid Game became the first foreign language series to be nominated for Best Cast, Best Actor and Best Actress in a Drama Series.
Yellowstone, a series that is often overlooked at the ceremonies despite its success with audiences, is nominated for the first time in the Best Cast in a Drama series. The show will face The Handmaid’s Tale, The Morning Show, Squid Game and Succession.
