Expected to be released on Netflix on August 21, Lucifer‘s Season 5 is being unveiled in a first official trailer. A two-minute video that will take fans’ excitement to a new level and has a little surprise in store for us. Little advice: if you want to create a little more suspense, don’t watch the video that follows and don’t read this article any further!

There will be twice as many Tom Ellis on the screen, which should delight many fans of the Lucifer series. But the circumstances of this double dose might not please everyone: the archangel Michael, Lucifer’s twin brother, has decided to steal his life. While the devil is still stuck in hell, his brother is doing his best to take over every aspect of his life, starting with his relationship with Chloe (Lauren German). Chloe admits that Lucifer’s behavior has been strange since his return, but how long will it take for her to discover the truth? Nothing is certain. As for the trailer, it promises a confrontation between the two brothers. At what point of the season? We’ll still have to be patient to find out.

As a reminder, season 5 of Lucifer will be divided into two parts consisting of eight episodes. The first one will be available on August 21st. This new season will be the opportunity to see some old characters such as Eve (Inbar Lavi) and to see for the first time God played by Dennis Haysbert. Additional good news: contrary to what was initially planned, season 5 will not be the last one, Netflix has offered a final season 6 for Lucifer.
