The Love, Victor series, inspired by the blockbuster movie Love, Simon, has (finally) an airing date on Hulu. The streaming service has revealed through a first promo that the ten-episode series will be aired starting June 19th. A premiere that will be broadcast during the month of pride in the United States.
Love, Victor will focus, as its name suggests, on the character of Victor (Michael Cimino), a newcomer to Creekwood High School, the same one where Simon studied. Victor has to deal with this new environment and the many questions he has about himself, including his sexual orientation. This questioning can be observed in the first promo broadcast by Hulu in which Victor answers Benji’s questions.
Initially planned to be broadcast on Disney+, the Love, Victor series will finally be available on Hulu. This change of platform was justified by the fact that the series was not mainstream enough in the eyes of the firm with big round ears. Alcohol consumption, sexual exploration and conjugal problems will be on the show and do not necessarily correspond to the charter of Disney+.
In the casting of Love, Victor, we will find George Sear (Evermoor), Mason Gooding (Everything’s Gonna Be Okay), Sophia Bush (One Tree Hill), Ana Ortiz (Ugly Betty), James Martinez (One Day At a Time), Isabella Ferreira (Orange Is the New Black) ou encore Kayla DiVenere (Helix).. Nick Robinson, main character of Love, Simon, will feature as the narrator.
