The NCIS franchise will continue to make the beautiful days of CBS at least one more season.

After renewing its hit series NCIS in April, the American network has decided to do the same with its spin-off NCIS: Los Angeles. Indeed, the series with LL Cool J and Chris O’Donnell gets a season 13.

According to Deadline, the renewal was delayed to be announced because of contract negotiations that were still ongoing. This issue is now resolved and the series can confidently begin the rest of its development with LL Cool J and Chris O’Donnell still in it.

A new spin-off for the 2021-2022 season

In addition to this announcement, CBS has confirmed that it has ordered a new spin-off, NCIS: Hawaii. The series will center on Jane Tennant, the first female head of NCIS Pearl Harbor, and her team as they balance their duty between their family and their country. They will investigate crimes involving military personnel, national security and the mysteries of the island itself.

To play Jane Tennant, the production has chosen to trust Vanessa Lachey (Dads, Truth Be Told). She will be joined by Yasmine Al-Bustami (The Chosen, I Ship It) and Jason Antoon (Claws, No Ordinary Family). They will respectively play Lucy, the youngest of the team, and Ernie, an NCIS cyberespionage specialist.
